Staff at Mela Nurse Clinic maintain the right to refuse service at any time to clients that we deem inappropriate, particularly due to unpleasant behaviour and this decision is final.

If you are asked to leave the clinic due to aggressive, rude, sexual, inappropriate or violent behaviour or language, you forfeit your right to any reimbursements, refunds, payments or deposits. This decision is final and at the discretion of the company and therapist carrying out your treatment.

We ask that you respect our home-clinic and have written this security policy to make you aware of the safety measures in place at our clinic for our personal safety as well as the safety of our clients.

At Mela Nurse Clinic we have CCTV systems that we use to view and record on the premises. As Mela Nurse Clinic is a home-based clinic security and CCTV is a necessary and important for the safe running of the business for both the owner and customers alike. By booking and attending a treatment with us you agree to the security measures we have in place, which are highlighted below CCTV is in operation within the communal area of the clinic and treatment room positioned to face the entrance with a behind-view of the treatment couch. This has been done to maintain the privacy of all of our customers when carrying out treatments whilst still making the environment safe and secure for everyone.

The in-clinic CCTV recordings will be viewed as necessary for ‘legitimate business purposes’, including but not limited to:

• For the personal health and safety of staff and customers (customer including visitors) including to act as a deterrent against crime;
• To assist in the effective resolution of disputes which arise in the course of disciplinary or grievance proceedings;
• The prevention of crime or damage to the clinic and home; and
• Supporting any investigations related to law enforcement.

What information do we collect?
When you enter the clinic your image may be captured by our CCTV cameras. We do not record any audio (i.e. sounds or conversations).

Treatment room CCTV camera is positioned to face with a behind-view of the treatment couch to maximise privacy.

Our use of CCTV is limited to waiting and reception areas and facing the entrance of the treatment room.

We of course doe not operate CCTV in any bathrooms or toilets.

Our CCTV cameras are visible with a sign for identification to customers and staff.

Who has access to the footage?
Only the owner has the ability to review the CCTV footage for the limited purposes as explained above.

The data is stored in the UK.

CCTV footage may be disclosed to third parties, such as law enforcement, where:
• Mela Nurse Clinic considers the disclosure reasonably necessary to support Mela Nurse Clinic’s legitimate business purposes; and
• Where approved by our Legal Team or Law enforcement.

Access to your personal information
You may request access to your personal information, which may include CCTV footage, in accordance with the applicable Mela Nurse Clinic Privacy Notice or Policy. Please note that we may obscure images of third parties when disclosing CCTV data as part of a request, where we consider it necessary to do so. In rare circumstances, you may also have a legal right to object to processing of your personal information. Further information about your rights can be found in the our Privacy Notice/Policy.

Security
Mela Nurse Clinic and Franchisees use reasonable security safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. CCTV vision is maintained on systems that are password protected and access to which is logged.
